The Lasso & Danny G Beats

ASCENSION is the first collaboration between Michigan producers DANNY G and coming back to the show after a few years, THE LASSO. The 23-minute 808-heavy pastiche of 80s/90s freestyle and Detroit/Flint style beats is a great record in its own right but i think its something a bit more when you appreciate the journey behind the music and drill down on the motivations within the artists to create something so unique, and so cool, and that’s precisely what we do this week.
